Frequently Asked Questions
Tech & Website Support Sessions
How do I book a session?
Sessions are scheduled in advance after a brief free consultation so we can confirm the best starting point for your situation. Click the Get in Touch Button above to begin.
How do I pay for a session? All sessions are prepaid and payment can be made via PayPal Invoice, or through Venmo or CashApp. Website payment portal coming soon.
Do tech support sessions require an agreement? Tech support sessions don’t require a formal contract, but booking a session confirms acceptance of the Service & Payment Policy. Please read the policy along with the Frequently Asked Questions, Website Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy before booking. Can I just ask a quick question instead of booking? I understand that some issues seem small, but even quick questions often lead to steps, settings, or follow-ups that are easier to handle with dedicated time set aside. Scheduling a session ensures I can give you my full attention and help you resolve things clearly, without rushing or guessing. What does a session include? Sessions are focused, one-hour blocks of support designed to resolve problems, complete updates, and provide clear guidance so you can move forward with confidence. Most clients bring a few related questions or tasks, and we work through them in priority order to make the best use of the time. With your first session, receive my downloadable and printable PDF "Five-Step Smartphone Tune-up Worksheet" that we can also work on together, if needed.
Are there any tech support services you don't provide?I do not provide mechanical or screen repair, file/data recovery, or virus removal. Upon diagnosis of these issues, I will refer a qualified specialist and/or replacement options, and guide you to the next step. I also do not provide security system/camera support. For desktop computers, laptops, and tablet PCs, I primarily support Windows-based operating systems, so assistance with iMac or macOS-specific issues may be limited depending on the situation.
Are there any website services you don't provide?I focus on website design, updates, and improvements, so there are a few areas that fall outside my scope. I don’t provide full branding packages, extensive photography or videography, or expert search engine optimization services. If your project would benefit from branding, image services, and/or expert SEO, I’ll recommend bringing in a qualified specialist so the final result is as strong as it can be. Can you come to my home or office? Yes. Requires consultation and a $30 travel fee up to 30 minutes drive. Longer distance fees apply. In-person appointments are scheduled during daytime business hours. Expanded availability may be offered to established clients when appropriate.

- How long is a session? Each session allows up to one hour of dedicated support. Bring multiple device issues and we'll work on them in order of importance. We can also go over your free 5-Step Smartphone Tune-Up or any other concerns with remaining time. If my issue only takes a few minutes, is the price lower? Sessions are reserved in dedicated time blocks rather than billed by the minute, so the rate stays the same even if something is resolved quickly. The goal of a session is to solve the problem. The value lies in my ability to do that and show you how, not how fast I can do it. Many clients use all remaining time to make small, useful adjustments, double-check settings, or handle other items they’ve been meaning to address.
- What if we need more time? If something requires more time than fits comfortably in a single session, we’ll address the most important pieces first and then decide together whether a follow-up session or project approach makes the most sense. You’ll always know your options and expected next steps before anything continues. Can you help with both tech support and my website in a session? Yes — sessions can absolutely include a mix of tech support and website help. Website Session pricing applies.
- Each session is focused on resolving as much as we reasonably can within the scheduled time. You’re welcome to bring multiple related issues, and we’ll work through them in priority order so you get the most value from the session. If something requires deeper project work or extends beyond the session timeframe, I’ll explain your options clearly before moving forward.
- Website Projects How are website projects priced? Website projects are priced individually based on the level of editing and content creation needed, number of pages, features, integrations, and determined timeline for completion. You’ll receive a clear quote before any work begins. Required separate platform, hosting, domain, ecommerce or plugin costs are not included in my quote. Outside specialists are also not included in the quote.
- What do website projects typically cost? Website projects typically start around $1,000 not including the required costs above or outside specialists. I’ll outline everything clearly after our consultation so there are no surprises. Price scales based on size, features, and timeline.
-
- How are website projects paid?
- Website projects are paid half down, and remaining balance prior to launch. Overdue payments will result in a pause of work and launch delay. Payment can be made through PayPal Invoice, Venmo, or CashApp. Printable PDF receipt will be provided. Website payment portal coming soon.
-
- What is a timeline? What if I go overtime?
- Project timelines vary depending on scope, how prepared materials are, and how quickly feedback is provided. A typical website (re)build can take anywhere from about two weeks to three months. A realistic timeframe will be determined with you so you know what to expect and how the work will move forward. If a project extends beyond the agreed timeline due to additional changes, delays, or expanded scope, any additional time required will be billed accordingly.
-
- Do I need to sign an agreement before website work begins? Yes. Website projects require a signed agreement before work begins so expectations, scope, timeline, and payment terms are clear for both of us. This protects your investment and helps the project run smoothly from start to finish. Also payment of half-down deposit constitutes agreement to the Service Terms & Payment Policy. Please read the policy along with the Frequently Asked Questions, Website Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.

- How do I know if I need a session or a project? Smaller updates, fixes, or guidance are often handled in a focused website session. If the work involves a new build, major redesign, or multiple phases, it’s usually better handled as a project. I’ll help you decide which approach makes the most sense after we talk. How long does a website project take? Timing depends on the scope of the work, how prepared the content is, and how quickly feedback is provided. A typical website (re)build can range from about two weeks to three months. With our consultation information, I’ll outline a realistic timeframe so you know what to expect. Do you redesign/update existing websites? Yes. I can work with existing sites when the platform allows it, whether that means improving layout, updating content, or rebuilding sections so the site works better for you and your visitors. To do this, I’ll need access to the site’s administrative login. If your website is tied to a previous developer, agency, or hosting arrangement, we may need to review what access is available first, since some setups can limit outside edits. I’ll help you understand your options before any work begins.
- Will I be able to manage the site myself afterward? Absolutely. If you’d like, I can show you how to make basic updates and keep things running smoothly so you’re not dependent on outside help for everyday changes. What do you need from me to start a project? Most projects begin with a conversation about your goals and what you want the site to accomplish. I can help shape and refine written content as needed, but projects move most smoothly when core visuals and branding elements are already in place, and I’ll outline what’s needed before any work begins.
-
- Can you handle website patch updates and security maintenance? Yes. I can take care of routine updates, platform patches, plugin or theme updates, and general maintenance to help keep your site running smoothly and securely. I can handle these as needed or set up an ongoing maintenance approach that fits your situation.
